Cambodian Incursion

In May 1970 President Nixon ordered U.S. troops across the Cambodian border to destroy the country’s North Vietnamese and Viet Cong supply camps. The eight-week mission was a military success but the perceived expansion of the war led to student protests across America, including the infamous riot at Kent State University that resulted in the killing of four students by Ohio National Guardsmen.
