Provisional Revolutionary Government
The
National Liberation Front and the Alliance of National, Democratic and Peace Forces established the PRG on 8th June 1969, after the start of peace talks between the U.S and the
DRV.
Created to compete with the Saigon Government (GVN) for diplomatic recognition, it was formally acknowledged by several Communist states, including North Vietnam. The PRG was a signatory of the 1973 Paris Peace Accords and assumed control of South Vietnam following the fall of Saigon in April 1975.
