Under operation Market Time U.S. Navy Destroyer Escorts were used to interdict coastal infiltration from North Vietnam.

Destroyer Escort 251, the USS CAMP, was transferred to the Vietnamese Navy in February 1971 and was renamed Tran Hung Dao.
