Jeeps in the rain at Qui Nhon.
The Ford M151A was the principal combat jeep in Vietnam. However, because of the demand for such vehicles and the cost of shipping them across the Pacific, the military contracted with the Mitsubishi Company in Japan to produce jeeps for the Vietnam conflict.
The Ford had a better center of gravity on rough roads, while the Japanese jeep had a tendency to roll over.
