The APB (Auxiliary Personnel Barge) was a self-propelled barracks ship that supported riverine craft in the Mekong Delta. Built during World War II and modified for use in Vietnam, each ABP was equipped with a helicopter pad, hospital and accommodation for approximately 800 personnel.
