A Sergeant of the 60th Infantry, 9th Infantry Division wears a first pattern M79 Grenade Vest during an operation in the Plain of Reeds (Mekong Delta). The vest had 6 pockets (4 on the front and 2 on the back) and could accommodate 18-rounds. Each grenade was held in place by a Velcro fastener.
