The 3rd pattern poncho liner was made of quilted polyester batting sandwiched between two panels of
ERDL
camouflage rip-stop nylon fabric. Like its two predecessors it was equipped with eight tie tapes so that could be tied inside a poncho to be used as a sleeping bag. Soldiers rotating home from Vietnam often used the ERDL poncho liner as the material for their
tour jackets
