First Aid Kit Case Plastic Insert

Designed as a liner for the Nylon Medical Instrument and Supply Set case No. 8, the insert served as a container for the Individual First Aid Kit. Made from olive drab plastic, it measured 4-3/4 inches Long by 2-3/8 inches Wide by 4-1/2 inches High. When issued in August 1969, the first aid kit consisted of:
  • Sodium Chloride, Sodium Bicarbinate Mix. 4.5 gm, 2s
  • Povidone-Iodine Solution, NF, 10%, ½ fl. oz. (15 cc) 50s
  • Camouflage Compressed Gauze Bandage, 2 in. x 6 yds
  • Adhesive Bandage, 3/4 x 3 in. 300s
  • Individual Troop Camouflage First Aid Field Dressing, 4 x 7 inches
  • Plastic Tablet Bottle with Snap-on Cap
  • Eye Dressing
  • Iodine Water Purification Tablets 8mg., 50s
  • Hot Climate Anti-Chap Lipstick (Type II)
