The Tadpole Sparse1 tiger stripe pattern was a popular camouflage with advisors and with various branches of the VNAF (Vietnam Armed Forces). It consisted of four colors (black, dark green and brown, all with a pea green outline) that were typically silk-screened on to a heavyweight fabric.1. Richard Johnson, author of Tiger Patterns, named the pattern Tadpole Sparse (TDS). A Dense (TDD) variety also exists.
