Heavy Hints For Light Packs

A Heavy Hints for Light Packs pamphlet was placed inside each newly manufactured M1961 field pack. It contained illustrated instructions on how to assemble the various components of the M1956 load carrying equipment. In 1966 the butt pack’s specification was revised and an A-5 sized paper instruction sheet replaced the pamphlet.
