Lightweight Rucksack Cargo Shelf - Welded Frame
The
Lightweight Rucksack cargo support shelf was made from aluminum alloy and featured two cargo strap slots. In order to convert the rucksack into a
packboard the shelf was inserted above the bottom horizontal bar of the frame, or it could be placed above both the middle bar and pack if a combination packboard was needed. The shelf was
redesigned in 1966 with the introduction of the
riveted frame Lightweight Rucksack.
