EX 54-14 Suspenders
Tested as a replacement for the
M1945
load carrying system, the Quartermaster Research and Development Center's EX-54 webbing evolved into the standard
M1956
field gear that was used throughout the Vietnam War. The experimental EX 54-14 suspenders were identical to their M1956 successors with the exception of the front belt hooks, which had separate rings for attaching the sleeping gear
carrier
rather than integral loops.
