M79 Bandoleer

Ammunition for the M79 grenade launcher was issued in a cotton bandoleer, which had two pockets that each held three rounds and their plastic spacers. The tendency of the bandoleer to snag on the jungle underbrush led to the development of the Grenade Carrier Vest.
