198th Light Infantry Brigade

Personnel from the 198th Light Infantry Brigade served in Vietnam between 1967 and 1971. Their shoulder sleeve insignia was a blue shield that featured a bayonet in a tongue of flame. The flame represented the unit’s firepower, whilst the bayonet was symbolic of the carrying the fight to the enemy.1
