Activated in April 1966, the United States Army Support, Thailand (USARSUPTHAI) had command and operational control over all U.S. Army units in Thailand. These operations included ground combat operations in Thailand, training, supervision of construction programs and providing logistical support to U. S. Air Force operations in North Vietnam and Laos. The insignia had a red triangular background and featured two white elephant tusks crossed over a blue vertical arrow.1 USARSUPTHAI was deactivated in July 1974.2
