23rd Infantry Division (Americal)

The 23rd Infantry Division (Americal) entered the war in 1967 and was the largest infantry division that operated in South Vietnam. The shoulder sleeve insignia was a blue shield emblazoned with four white stars arranged to represent the Southern Cross, which reflected the Pacific area in which the division initially served in WWII.1
